We are searching for an experienced HGV driver for yard management based in Hanwell.
Job Role:
- Keep Yard clean and tidy
- Store plant & materials in the correct location
- Ensure that all plant and materials are secure from theft
- Locate all plant and materials
- Deliver & Collect plant and materials from the site
- Ensure that the plant is maintained
- Ensure that any damage to the plant is fixed
- Ensure that before the plant is delivered to site they are working correctly
- Report any losses/theft of plant and material
- Deliver materials & plant in an efficient manner
- Report any site damaged plant to the office and get it repaired
- Ensure that all plant is full of fuel and ready to work when delivered to the site
- Once the plant is returned to the yard, clean and make sure it is ready to return to the site
- Be able to work unsupervised and be self-motivated
- Nominal working hours 7.00 am – 5.oo pm additional hours as requested
- Have lorry loaded and ready to leave the yard at 7.00am when doing an early delivery
- Get back to yard early and load for following
- If you see something unsafe report it immediately
- If you haven’t been trained to do something, don’t do it

- Share experiences and lessons learnt with team members
- Inspire co-workers to attain goals and pursue excellence
- Keep team members up to date with the latest processes
- Ensure that all team members are aware of clients expectations and are building client relationships
- Effectively communicate with our team members our agreement with our client, Health & safety, a method of working and contract responsibilities
- Consistently review site teams acknowledge and appreciate each team members contributions
- Ensure that each team member is motivated and working to the fullest of his/her potential
Organisational Responsibilities
- Comply with and help to enforce standard policies and procedures
- That all our staff are aware and comply with client expectations and are building lasting relationships
- Communicate effectively with our teams to identify needs and risks and the importance of client relationships
- Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change
- Review the status of team members and address issues as appropriate
Requirements:
Must have UTR, National Insurance and Right to Work-HGV Licence –CPC & Tacho.
