As Housekeeping Assistant, you provide superb customer service to our guests. Your duties will include ensuring that assigned rooms are fully stocked, cleaned, and serviced to a high standard and that public areas are kept tidy. You should also be able to assist guests promptly and in a polite manner.
·Understand and follow all housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards
·Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
·Report and follow up on any guest requests or complaints
·Help guests retrieve lost items
·Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
·Ensure bedroom and bathroom areas are thoroughly cleaned and well presented
·Change bed linen and make beds
·Replace used towels and bathroom amenities
·Sweep and mop floors, vacuum carpets
·Dust and polish furniture
·Replenish room amenities
·Ensure public and service areas are kept tidy and impeccably cleaned at all times
·Empty trash containers and ashtrays
·Perform rotation deep cleaning duties throughout the hotel as required
·Report any technical issues and maintenance needs
·Assist with other departments, as necessary
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
·Acceptable command of spoken English
·Friendly and team player

·Physical mobility and stamina
·Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns
·Great attention to detail
·Ability to follow instructions and work with little or no supervision
Proven Experience/Education Level
Experience within a similar environment is preferable, however we recruit for attitude rather than experience and will give you the tools to ensure you will be successful in your role. Experience using industrial cleaning equipment and products is an advantage.
