We're looking for a talented Broadcast Engineer to work for our client in Stratford .

They want to recruit someone with a background in broadcast engineering and qualification.

Please note:  This is a shift-based role which requires weekend work and occasional night shifts (night shifts are rare but required on the odd occasion).

The Role:
As the Broadcast Engineer you'll be working as part of broadcast engineering team supporting the technical facilities,3 broadcast studio, ten galleries, large post post-production village, multi-channel MCR and playout operation. You will be primarily responsible for looking into operational needs of BT sport, production partners and 3rd party shows are met effectively and that the technical requirements of the programmes are achieved by means of innovation and development.

In the job you'll be tasked with the following:
- Responding to all stakeholders in a positive, friendly, and proactive way
- Rig, operate, monitor and maintain equipment including cameras and vison, augmented reality, studio monitoring, vision switchers, routers and modular products in the studios, MCR, CAR and associated technical areas
- Technical installation projects, configure and route sound and vision feeds using BNCS control system
- Operating and interrogating a broad range systems and retrieve logs for analysis
- Technical faults are identified and logged, then resolved. Implement alternative technical solutions as required
- Engaging with suppliers for service arrangements, repairs, and to order spares
- Complying with the safety regulations, ensure the electronic equipment is aligned to the defined standards and keep appropriate records

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this Broadcast Engineer role will have relevant a background in broadcast engineering and qualification.

You'll also need experience of:
- Customer facing role with excellent service, communication skills and documentation writing skills
- Vision, sound, routing and communication systems for tv studio environments
- Sony vision switchers, sony 2400 cameras, BNCS, GV vision switchers, Axon/GV/Evertz glue, Evertz Multiviewers, NCAM AR tracking system

In addition, you'll need the following:
- Good understanding of end-to-end production processes and the ‘live’ transmission chain in a broadcast environment along with trouble shooting and diagnostics skills
- Good knowledge of computer systems, it and TCP/IP networking infrastructure
- Knowledge and/or experience in UHD and IP broadcast systems preferable

You'll also need to be able to make critical assessment of television pictures and waveforms and be able to keep up with technical changes within the industry.
